Marking world AIDs day

On December 1st, Africa Givers Uganda marked International World AIDS Day by extending HIV testing services to the people in Ndegeya Community and beyond. The team set up a mobile clinic, offering free and confidential HIV testing to local residents. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, encourage people to know their status, and promote early detection and treatment.

The event not only provided HIV testing but also included educational sessions to inform the community about prevention methods, stigma reduction, and the importance of regular testing. Local health professionals and volunteers were actively involved, ensuring that individuals received accurate information and support. The outreach extended beyond Ndegeya, inviting nearby communities to access the vital services.

By taking this proactive approach, Africa Givers Uganda helped reduce barriers to healthcare access, fostering a more informed and healthier community. The event was a significant step toward fighting the spread of HIV and supporting those living with the virus in the region.
